Huawei’s CEO, Richard Yu says that Huawei Mate X will be arriving in October or November most probably. It is Huawei’s foldable phone edition. He announced this news at IFA. Moreover, it will release in October for China only.

Kirin 980 or Kirin 990
Earlier, it was decided that Mate X will adopt Kirin 980 chipset. Moreover, it would have an external 5G enabled modem. But now, the news says that Mate X will configure Kirin 990 which will have an integrated 5G modem. Still, it is not confirmed that Huawei will bring two models. i.e. one with Kirin 980 chipset and other with Kirin 990 chipset, or it will upgrade Kirin 980 to Kirin 990 chipset. However, the official site says its Kirin 980. The gadget can get it changed before it releases time. There might be issues related to Google Play Services. If the issue is not resolved, then Huawei Mate X will appear with Huawei Media Services, just like Mate 30. The Huawei Mate X was first showcased on TENAA’s site, a Chinese telecommunication regulatory authority. In addition to this, this smartphone will come with a triple camera setup similar to Huawei P30 Pro. There are no details about its specs and release yet. It may fold outwards unlike Samsung Galaxy Fold. Let’s wait till its features get surfaced.
